NatureOps

Preparing workspace

Securing your session and restoring the latest operational view.

+4 m — the sun deck

For public aquariums, research programmes and aquaculture

Run a governed dive programme without the binder.

Plans go through approval, the day runs on a live board, every diver’s readiness is a plain answer, and the log writes itself into the compliance record your DSO and DCB sign off.

Designed with public-aquarium dive teams and university diving programmes.

Your setup path

Here’s what happens when you continue.

Four steps, about ten minutes, every one of them resumable.

  1. 01

    Name your organization

Venue type, team size, number of projects and what matters first.

  2. 02

    Switch on the hubs

Dive Hub, People, Tasks and Library are on from the start. Add Guest Experience, Equipment, Inventory and Ops if you want them.

  3. 03

    Add projects

Each exhibit, site or programme becomes a project with its own schedule, roster and records.

  4. 04

    Invite the team

Departments, positions, roles and the first invitations. Skip any step and come back later.

Set up as an aquarium or institution

14-day free trial · no card

Sets your workspace up as an institution: Dive Hub, People, Tasks and Library switched on, the commercial Dive Centre hub off. Changing operating model later is a request to our team, not a toggle.

Guest Experience

OptionalLive

Walk-ups to certificates, hands-free

Capacity-managed guest dives with self-registration at the kiosk or by email link, the right waiver and review for each experience, and a certificate in their inbox afterwards.

  • Kiosk & email-link registration
  • Waivers and DSO review per experience
  • Certificates emailed after the dive

Tasks & notifications

In your setupLive

The follow-ups follow themselves up

Recurring maintenance, expiring certifications and approval steps become tasks with owners and reminders — on boards, in tables, and in the inbox — before they become findings.

  • Boards, hierarchy and saved views
  • Recurring setups with review steps
  • Email and in-app reminders for expiries

Document Library

In your setupLive

Controlled documents, effective versions

Manuals, SOPs, templates and waivers in a controlled library: submit, review, approve and withdraw versions, with evidence attached — not a shared drive nobody trusts.

  • Folder tree with categories and evidence
  • Submit → review → approve version control
  • Effective versions ground Ops answers

+1 m — the till

Priced to your operation.Quoted, not listed.

Sites, boats and the modules you switch on shape the price — so we quote it with you rather than publish a table that fits nobody.

Start with a free trial
Every compatible module is unlocked for 14 days, with Ops available where configured. No card or setup call is required.
Switch on what you need
Modules are toggled per organisation and per project. Start with People and add Hubs as the operation grows.
One flat price, quoted for you
Pricing follows the size and shape of the operation, not how busy your season is. Tell us what you run and we come back with a number.

For operations putting twenty or more people in the water a day — the point where spreadsheets start costing you.

Meet Ops

Ask Ops. It drafts. You approve.

Ops is the assistant inside NatureOps. It knows your divers, dives, bookings, documents and stock, answers with citations, and turns a request into a reviewed draft. Nothing is written until a person approves it.

  1. Ask

Plain questions about your project. Ops searches what you are allowed to see and cites the guide or controlled document it read.

  2. Draft

A request becomes a preview: what changes, how many records, in which project. Ops states its scope before anything happens.

  3. Approve

You approve or discard. Every approved change is attributed in the audit trail to the person who signed it.

What Ops can draft
  • Dive types, templates, schedules and plan submission
  • Tasks, completions and reviews
  • Guest sessions and name-only bookings
  • Stock movements, assets and defect reports
  • Controlled-document versions
The limits Ops works inside
  • Ops never writes data outside a reviewed action request.
  • Ops works only where you have access, and it is private to you.
  • Medical, contact and payment details never enter its context.
  • Ops never certifies a safety outcome. It drafts, a person signs.

What the DSO sees

Dive Hub

In your setupLive

Plan it, approve it, run it live

Templates and scheduling flow through plan approval into a live board: who is in the water, air in and air out, and an alert the moment a dive runs over. Logs write themselves.

  • Daily confirmation & “Divers in water” board
  • Air-in / air-out with overrun escalation
  • Weather judged against your own thresholds

People Hub

In your setupLive

Every diver, one readiness answer

A single directory for staff and divers where certifications, medicals and authorisations roll up into a plain answer: fit to dive, needs review, or do not dive.

  • Certification & medical expiry tracking
  • Checkout-dive authorisation workflow
  • Roles, departments and project access

Equipment & compressors

OptionalLive

Nothing overdue goes in the water

A register for every regulator, tank and compressor with defects, service, checks and compressor runs in one place. A reported defect quarantines the asset until it clears.

  • Defects quarantine the asset on report
  • Service, checks and compressor logs
  • Tank visual & hydrostatic compliance

Inventory

OptionalLive

Bulk stock with a movement trail

Categories, stores and stock levels for everything that is not serialised — weights, wetsuits, consumables — with every receipt, adjustment and transfer on an append-only ledger.

  • Stores, categories and stock levels
  • Receive, adjust and transfer with a trail
  • Reservations against upcoming dives
  • Aquarium operations

−12 m — the dive day

Let’s Dive

Run the dive day live

The morning manifest becomes a live board: readiness in plain words, air in and air out per diver, a weather rail judged against your own thresholds, and an amber-to-red alert the moment a dive runs past its window.

  1. 01

    Confirm

Daily confirmation turns the approved plan into a manifest — anyone not fit to dive is flagged before briefing.

  2. 02

    Dive

Air in, divers in water, a board the whole surface team can read from across the room.

  3. 03

    Close out

Air out, diver OK, and the dive log writes itself into the compliance record.

  • Fit to dive
  • Needs review
  • Do not dive

−18 m — the safety case

Compliance is the product, not the paperwork

For scientific and aquarium diving, the safety case is the operation. NatureOps digitises the manual, SOPs and forms — so the audit trail is a by-product of running the day, not a second job.

Frequently asked questions

How is NatureOps priced?
Flat, per operation, and modular. There is no public price list yet because the price follows the shape of the operation: sites, boats and the modules you switch on. Start a trial, then contact us and we come back with a quote.
What is in the free trial?
14 days with every module compatible with the organization profile unlocked. One free trial per account; after that an organisation needs a plan.
Does Ops change anything on its own?
No. Ops answers questions and drafts changes as a preview. Nothing is written until a person approves it, and every approved change is attributed in the audit trail to whoever signed it.
Can Ops see everything in our organisation?
Ops only works where you can. It reads with your permissions, it is private to you, and medical, contact and payment details never enter its context.
We are a dive centre. Is this built for us?
Dive Centre is its own module: group bookings from a shareable link, per-traveller paperwork before arrival, a visual boat planner, courses, rentals and manual payment records. Card payments through a provider are on the roadmap.
We are an aquarium, not a dive shop. Does this fit?
Aquariums are who the platform was designed with first — exhibit diving, DSO and DCB governance, and guest experiences are first-class, not adaptations.
How does it relate to our diving safety manual?
Your QMS defines the fields, workflows and retention rules; the software runs them. The manual stops being a binder and becomes how the day actually operates — and the version Ops cites.
Is our data isolated from other organisations?
Yes — the platform is multi-tenant by design. Every record is scoped to your organisation, with role-based access inside it.
